LOON-JACOBS, Sasha Xandre Neige (Red Thunderbird Woman) - Passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, March 28, 2024.  Sasha touched the lives of many during her time with us. Born on June 28, 2005, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, she was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, partner, and friend.
Sasha’s parents, Donna Loon, and Mathew Jacobs were blessed with her presence and watched her grow into a remarkable young woman. She brought immense joy to her family, and her memory will forever be treasured.
Sasha's greatest joy in life was her beautiful daughter, Aneska Valerie Dawn Loon-Panacheese. She poured her heart out, creating a bond that will never be broken.
Growing up in Mobert, Ontario, Sasha was deeply connected to her Indigenous roots. She was a proud member of the community and embraced her heritage with pride. Sasha's gift of song and dance was extraordinary, captivating all who had the privilege of witnessing her performances. Her voice resonated with passion and her movements were filled with grace, leaving a lasting impression on all who experienced her artistry.
Sasha's warm and compassionate spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She had a heart full of love and an infectious laughter that could brighten even the darkest of days. Sasha was a friend to many, always ready to offer support, a listening ear, or a shoulder to lean on.
In addition to her immediate family, Sasha leaves behind her grandparents, Vivian Desmoulin, and Clyde Jacobs, who played a significant role in shaping her values and character. She was a loving sister to Cashton Loon, Phoenix Loon, and Rayne Jacobs, and cherished her bond with each of them. Sasha's extended family of aunts, Cheryl Kwissiwa, Payton Jacobs, Kate Loon, Lorraine Loon, and Darling Loon, and her uncle Bruce Kwissiwa and Wesley Jacobs held a special place in her heart. She shared countless cherished moments and memories with her numerous cousins.
Although Sasha's time with us was far too short, her impact will be everlasting. Her legacy will continue to inspire and remind us of the importance of love, resilience, and embracing one's heritage.
